MailchimpAutomation & Integration
Automate list sync, campaign triggers, and segmentation workflows in Mailchimp.
Mailchimp can connect an audience with CRM, form, appointment, or store data. I build automations for controlled audience updates, segmentation, campaign inputs, and reporting without overriding consent or suppression state.

How I use Mailchimp
I connect available form, purchase, appointment, and CRM data to Mailchimp audience and segmentation workflows. Audience webhooks cover configured list changes, while campaign activity and batch completion use different API surfaces, so each workflow is designed around the events Mailchimp actually exposes. Role and plan permissions are checked before relying on a campaign, automation, or reporting feature.

What the integration supports

Authentication and access
Use OAuth 2.0 when connecting Mailchimp accounts for other users; a server-side API key is suitable for a private connection to one account. Resolve the account's data-center prefix after OAuth and send the bearer token in the Authorization header.
Useful data and actions
- Audiences, members, merge fields, tags, segments, and consent status
- Campaigns, templates, send reports, opens, clicks, and bounces
- Customer, product, cart, order, and promo-code data for connected stores
- Contact events, list webhooks, batch jobs, and account metadata
Constraints to confirm
- The Marketing API allows at most 10 simultaneously processing requests per user and can return 429 when that concurrency is exceeded.
- Audience webhooks cover configured list changes; they are not a universal stream for every campaign or automation event, and batch completion uses separate batch webhooks.
- Endpoint access depends on the authorizing user's role and the account plan; some features return 403 when the plan or user level does not permit them.
- Mailchimp audience consent and suppression state must remain authoritative. Deleting an audience removes its history, including unsubscribes, complaints, and bounces, so destructive sync must be deliberate.
