ShopifyAutomation & Integration
Connect Shopify orders, inventory, customers, fulfillment, and reporting into scoped operating workflows.
Shopify exposes scoped store data and webhook events that can connect orders, fulfillment, inventory, customer service, and reporting tools. I build workflows around the access each store grants.

How I use Shopify
With the required Admin API scopes, Shopify can provide products, variants, inventory, customers, orders, returns, fulfillment orders, locations, and supported webhook events. I pin a supported API version, request the minimum access, and verify HMAC signatures before acting on a webhook. Historical orders, protected customer data, payments, checkout changes, and specialized fulfillment operations are included only when Shopify has granted the necessary access.

What the integration supports
Facts checked
Authentication and access
Install a Shopify app on the target store and use Shopify's current token flow with only the required Admin API scopes. Send the access token in X-Shopify-Access-Token and verify webhook HMAC signatures before processing events.
Useful data and actions
- Products, variants, inventory, customers, orders, returns, and fulfillment orders allowed by the granted Admin API scopes
- Shop and location configuration needed to map operational records correctly
- Webhook events for supported order, fulfillment, inventory, customer, refund, and app-lifecycle topics
Constraints to confirm
- Shopify APIs are versioned; pin a supported version, review release notes, and test before each scheduled version upgrade.
- Order access is scope-limited: the standard order scopes cover a default recent window, while read_all_orders requires separate approval.
- Protected customer data, payments, checkout changes, and fulfillment operations can require additional approval or specialized scopes and should not be assumed available.
What I automate with Shopify

Customer segmentation using fields permitted by the store's granted scopes
Operational alerts for supported fulfillment, inventory, return, or refund events
Authorized order and customer data synchronized with CRM, help desk, or reporting systems
Back-office review queues for refunds, exceptions, and high-value orders
