WaveAutomation & Integration
Connect Wave accounting to business systems for automated invoicing and financial reporting.
I build integrations for eligible Wave Pro and Wave Advisor businesses that connect supported invoicing, payment, customer, and accounting data with other business tools.

How I use Wave
Wave's GraphQL API supports businesses, customers, accounts, products, invoices, invoice payments, and documented money transactions. I've built workflows that create invoices from approved CRM milestones, reflect payment confirmations in project systems, and aggregate supported Wave data into business dashboards. API authorization and webhook delivery require an eligible paid Wave subscription, and the public API does not expose every feature available in the Wave application.

What the integration supports
Facts checked
Authentication and access
OAuth 2.0 for third-party apps, or a personal long-lived token for an owner automating only their own Wave business.
Useful data and actions
- Businesses, customers, accounts, and products
- Invoices, invoice payments, and supported money transactions
- Invoice and payment events available through Wave webhooks
Constraints to confirm
- OAuth access and webhook delivery require the connected business to have an active Wave Pro or Wave Advisor subscription; free-account access should not be assumed.
- The public API is GraphQL and only supports its published schema; receipt capture and arbitrary expense categorization are not documented API capabilities.
- Any accounting or advisory firm using client data must approve the business connection, copied-data retention, and write operations separately from Wave authorization.
