QuickBooksAutomation & Integration
Automate reporting, reconciliation, and financial data flows from QuickBooks.
I build QuickBooks Online automations that move authorized accounting data into reporting, billing, and reconciliation workflows without relying on repeated manual exports.

How I use QuickBooks
QuickBooks Online exposes supported invoices, payments, accounts, transactions, and reports through its Accounting API. I've used those records to assemble P&L, AR aging, and cash-flow reporting, create draft or approved invoices from CRM milestones, and bring relevant accounting context into advisory meeting preparation. Each company authorizes its own connection, and posting or client-data workflows remain subject to the firm's review controls.

What the integration supports
Facts checked
Authentication and access
OAuth 2.0 user consent for an Intuit app, normally with the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope and authorization for each QuickBooks Online company (realm).
Useful data and actions
- Customers, vendors, employees, and chart-of-accounts records
- Invoices, bills, payments, refunds, and journal entries
- Profit and loss, cash flow, general ledger, and other supported reports
Constraints to confirm
- This scope covers QuickBooks Online, not QuickBooks Desktop, Payments, or Workforce; those use separate products, APIs, and scopes.
- Projects and some newer accounting capabilities depend on the customer's QuickBooks edition; production calls are also throttled per app and company.
- A financial-services firm's compliance and security owners must approve client financial-data access, retention, and any write-back workflow; Intuit consent is not supervisory approval.
