Connect Square payments, POS, and business data to accounting and operational systems.
For each authorized Square seller account, I connect supported payment, order, catalog, inventory, customer, and location data with business systems.

How I use Square
Square exposes seller-authorized payments, orders, customers, catalog items, inventory counts, invoices, payouts, and locations through permissioned APIs. I've built workflows that send daily sales data to accounting systems, connect customer purchase records to a CRM, synchronize Square-tracked inventory with e-commerce systems, and trigger approved loyalty or follow-up processes after purchases. Production access is granted per seller, and marketing use must respect the merchant's consent and privacy rules.

What the integration supports
Facts checked
Authentication and access
OAuth authorization code flow for confidential apps or OAuth with PKCE for public clients; requested permissions define access to each seller account.
Useful data and actions
- Payments, payouts, invoices, orders, and itemized sales
- Customers, catalog items, inventory counts, and locations
- Supported webhook events for seller-account changes
Constraints to confirm
- Each seller must authorize access, and Sandbox credentials and tokens are separate from production credentials.
- Individual Square APIs have their own permissions, prerequisites, and limits; webhook subscription administration uses developer credentials rather than a seller OAuth token.
- Customer marketing, loyalty, and accounting updates are downstream workflows and must follow the merchant's consent, privacy, and reconciliation controls.
