OpenPhoneAutomation & Integration
Automate texting, call logging, and team handoffs around OpenPhone conversations.
I connect OpenPhone, now Quo, calls, SMS, contacts, and supported webhook events to activity logs, follow-up tasks, and team routing. API keys have full workspace API access, while transcripts and summaries depend on plan features.

How I use OpenPhone
OpenPhone, now Quo, can expose contacts, messages, call activity, and supported call, transcript, and summary events through its API and webhooks. I connect those records to CRMs, scheduling tools, and notification systems using configured routing rules. The integration must account for full-access API keys, per-key rate limits, SMS-only API sending, messaging registration, feature availability, and Quo's exclusions for SMS/MMS and third-party integrations under its BAA.

What the integration supports

Authentication and access
OpenPhone, now Quo, uses full-access workspace API keys placed directly in the Authorization header without the Bearer prefix. A workspace owner or admin must generate the key.
Useful data and actions
- Contacts, phone numbers, users, and workspace identifiers
- Messages, participants, direction, status, and timestamps
- Call activity, recordings, transcripts, and summaries when available
- Call, message, transcript, and summary events delivered through webhooks
Constraints to confirm
- Each API key has full API access and inherits workspace privileges; Quo does not currently provide narrower key scopes.
- Each key is limited to 10 requests per second, and API-powered outbound texts use credits; the API currently sends SMS but not MMS.
- HIPAA-ready operation requires Business or Scale plus a signed BAA; SMS/MMS, third-party integrations, and analytics are excluded from Quo's covered services and need separate risk controls.
