ChimeAutomation & Integration

Extend Chime, now Lofty, with scoped lead routing, follow-up, and transaction workflows.

Chime's current API platform is Lofty. I use a customer-managed API key for a limited single-user connection or an approved OAuth application for vendor integrations, then connect only the leads, activities, transactions, and team data within the granted scope.

How I use Chime

A scoped Lofty connection can coordinate CRM records with approved SMS, email, calendar, and transaction workflows. I design routing, qualification, nurture, and overdue-follow-up rules around the authorizing user's actual permissions and the documented rate limit. Team-wide OAuth products also require Lofty's risk assessment and application approval, so access is confirmed before a workflow is presented as deployable.

What the integration supports

Facts checked

Authentication and access

For a one-user connection, the Lofty account owner can create a managed API key. New vendor integrations should use Lofty's approved OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow with user consent and refresh tokens.

Useful data and actions

  • Leads, people, assignees, sources, stages, and tags
  • Lead activities, notes, tasks, and communication metadata exposed by the Open API
  • Property interests and transaction records available to the authorizing user
  • User and team information within the granted application permissions

Constraints to confirm

  • Chime's API domain was rebranded to Lofty; new work should use api.lofty.com and current Lofty documentation.
  • Basic API-key connections are limited to 10 calls per minute and require a key from each user. Approved Developer Platform apps receive the documented 500-calls-per-minute limit.
  • OAuth vendor access requires a third-party risk assessment, application approval, a valid linked top-level Team Owner account, and end-user consent. Do not infer team-wide access from one user's token.

What I automate with Chime

01

Lead-source response workflows within the connection's supported latency

02

Qualification paths that route prospects to the right agent or next step

03

Calendar booking and reminder automation for serious leads

04

Nurture campaigns adjusted by behavior and property preferences available in scope

05

Internal alerts for stalled handoffs or overdue follow-up
