FreightPOPAutomation & Integration

Connect a provisioned FreightPOP account to multi-carrier rating, shipping, and exception workflows.

For active FreightPOP customers, I connect the orders, quotes, shipments, labels, tracking, and audit data enabled in their implementation to operational tasks and customer updates. Coverage depends on the customer's carrier connections and subscribed workflows.

How I use FreightPOP

FreightPOP provides REST endpoints for supported rating and shipping processes, with separate sandbox and production endpoints for some operations. I build within its documented request limit, batch where supported, and reuse tokens appropriately. Notifications, internal routing, customer updates, and reporting use only the carrier and shipment data returned for the customer's connected accounts; unsupported event paths fall back to measured polling.

Guardrail: The public API requires an active subscription and documents a two-requests-per-second limit; batch supported requests and reuse tokens instead of authenticating per call.

What the integration supports

Facts checked

Authentication and access

An active FreightPOP customer is provisioned an account endpoint and credentials used to obtain a bearer token; sandbox and production hosts are separate where the endpoint supports them.

Useful data and actions

  • Orders, addresses, packages, commodities, and shipping requirements
  • Parcel, LTL, FTL, air, and ocean quotes and carrier responses enabled for the account
  • Shipments, labels, BOLs, costs, accessorials, and tracking status
  • Carrier, invoice-audit, ERP, WMS, and marketplace data included in the customer's implementation

Constraints to confirm

  • The public API requires an active subscription and documents a two-requests-per-second limit; batch supported requests and reuse tokens instead of authenticating per call.
  • Carrier connections require the customer's carrier credentials or FreightPOP-supported accounts, and rates, services, hazardous-material rules, and data rights remain subject to those carrier agreements.
  • The public reference does not publish a general webhook contract across all workflows. Use supported callbacks where provisioned and otherwise poll the applicable shipment or tracking resource.
