ClickUpAutomation & Integration
Connect ClickUp to your business systems for automated task creation, status syncs, and reporting.
ClickUp exposes tasks, hierarchy, custom fields, time entries, and status data for project workflows. I build integrations for scoped task creation, status updates, and operational reporting.

How I use ClickUp
I've connected ClickUp to CRMs so qualifying deals create project tasks with mapped assignees, synchronized selected status changes with client portals, and aggregated time entries for invoicing workflows. OAuth access is limited to the Workspaces selected by the user, and webhooks remain tied to that user's hierarchy access. Sync rules define how status mappings, deletions, and concurrent edits are handled.

What the integration supports

Authentication and access
Use a personal token for a private server-side connection or ClickUp OAuth 2.0 authorization code flow for other users. OAuth users select the Workspaces the token can access; requests carry the token in the Authorization header.
Useful data and actions
- Workspaces, Spaces, Folders, Lists, tasks, and subtasks
- Statuses, assignees, tags, dependencies, and custom fields
- Comments, attachments, checklists, goals, and time entries
- Task, list, folder, goal, and hierarchy events through webhooks
Constraints to confirm
- Rate limits apply per token and Workspace plan: 100 requests per minute on Free Forever, Unlimited, and Business; 1,000 on Business Plus; and 10,000 on Enterprise.
- ClickUp OAuth tokens currently do not expire, but users can revoke them and ClickUp notes that expiration behavior may change.
- Webhooks are tied to the creating user and stop firing if that user is disabled or loses access; verify each event's HMAC signature and deduplicate deliveries.
- The token is limited to authorized Workspaces and the user's hierarchy permissions. ClickUp remains the task owner, so status mapping, deletions, and concurrent edits need defined precedence.
